Services: Take a Look at what we're up to

Since our inception, Quaye Nungua Foundation has been involved in several projects. This page will take you through some of the projects we have contributed to, or carried out over the years.
In 2002, the foundation collaborated with GaDangme Heritage Foundation (GDH) and others to construct a classroom for the Okwenya community. This followed a visit to the school by representatives of GDH, during which pupils were noted to be attending school under  trees.

Following a community effort, and support from the foundation and other entities, a classroom block of 4 classrooms, staff room and office was completed in 2004. The completed school building was dedicated in 2009.
NADMO donation
NADMO donation

A donation from the foundation was made on September, 2007 to assist with relief activities in Northern Ghana in the wake of destructive floods. New Life Orphanage International
A donation of food and other items was presented to the orphanage on 1st June, 2008.
 
This established an ongoing relationship between the orphanage and the foundation that has seen other donations to the orphanage.
Nungua Community Library
On 29th October, 2009, an amount of money was presented to the Nungua Community Library to assist it in purchasing books to furnish the library.
Calvary Congregation, Haatso

The Calvary Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Haatso requested that the Foundation provide financial support for their Women’s project. A donation was made towards an initial project which was a Fish smoking project but was later changed into a bakery. The bakery was commissioned on 6th March, 2011. A further donation was made in 2012 towards the purchase of a flour mixer and a gas plant. This was a project to help in the empowerment and financial independence of women in the society.

Greenich Christian International School

The Foundation made a donation to the Greenwich Christian International School located at Tema Manhea community. This was done on 25th February, 2009 to aid in the re-roofing of a classroom structure that was destroyed as a result of a storm.

Amanfro Community
Presentation of money was made to the Amanfro Community on 13th February, 2009 to rehabilitate and complete a school building.

Ga South Municipality
The foundation supported the rehabilitation and mechanization works on a bore-hole project in the Ga South Municipality at Obuom Health Centre and the Hobor Community in 2010.

The Foundation made a donation to the Cardiovascular Centre of the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital to cover the cost of surgery of a two- year old hole- in – heart patient (Benedicta Mantey) on 12th October, 2012.

Construction of Wells

In 2012, the foundation constructed wells in several communities in the Greater Accra region. The wells, which were located in the  Great Ningo, Akplabanya, Adedetsekope, Tettehkope and Adombrebe. A borehole/ well project at the Zenu Cluster of Schools was not successful because the ground did not have water. The school therefore requested for a poly tank to harvest and store rain water. The borehole at Great Ningo and the poly tank at Zenu Cluster of Schools were both commissioned on the same day; 17th January, 2013. 
Gomoa Dahom
Madam Comfort Quaye inspects the well.
On September 23, 2013, a borehole that was funded and constructed by the Foundation at Gomoa Dahom, in the Gomoa East District of the Central region was commissioned by Madam Comfort Tsotsoo Quaye.
